Visit to Tate Britain - Edward Burne-Jones Lecture and Exhibition
Thursday 15 November 2018

A 'lecture and gallery' visit with a self-guided tour of the exhibition preceded by a talk from one of the curators.

This is the first solo exhibition of Burne-Jones work at Tate since 1933.  He is regarded as one of the last Pre-Raphaelites and brought imaginary worlds to life in awe-inspiring paintings, stained glass windows and tapestries. With his friend William Morris he was a pioneer of the Arts and Craft movement.

Over 150 objects will be on display, including some of his best loved works, such as his huge paintings telling the dreamlike fairy-tale of Sleeping Beauty, wall-filling tapestries, and his remarkable drawings.

This visit has sold out and waiting list enquiries should be made to Heather Steere or via E-mail at
