Visit to Samuel Johnson's House
Thursday 20 September 2018

A guided tour of Dr Johnson's House, a charming 300 year old townhouse nestled within a maze of courts and alleys in the historic City of London.  A house where Samuel Johnson lived and worked in the middle of the 18th Century, compiling his great Dictionary of the English Language.

Afterwards, a walk entitled 'Dr Johnson's Fleet Street' and led by a City Guide will explore the alleys and courtyards off the western section of Fleet Street discovering several locations where Johnson lived and learning about his life and works and the people he knew.

Tickets for this visit will be on sale immediately prior to our July lecture.
